Melbourne

As the smallest of Australia’s mainland states - Victoria and it’s capital - Melbourne are not lacking for great things to do and see. Shaped by Gold and energetic people, Melbourne is an intriguing mix of modern architecture and grand Victorian-era buildings, home to wonderful sporting and arts venues, hosts a year-round array of wonderful events and festivals. With majestic gardens, great outdoor spaces and fabulous dining, Melbourne is a fabulous city to visit.

The Yarra Valley

Generally considered to be about an hours drive from Melbourne, the Yarra Valley is perhaps best known for its deep wine history. In fact the first grapevines planted in Victoria are recorded as being in the Yarra Valley at Yering Station in 1838. While that era passed, today’s wineries are established as leaders in modern Australian winemaking. For a variety of reasons, many labels can lay claim to an important and influential place in Yarra Valley and Australian winemaking. Across the broader region is a wide choice of other activities to enjoy. Particularly notable is ‘Healesville Sanctuary’ - perhaps Australia’s finest presentation of our wildlife and the Dandenong Ranges where many enjoy a ride on ‘Puffing Billy’.

The Great Ocean Road

Often referred to as one of the world’s great touring routes, the Great Ocean Road is cherished by locals and enthralls so many who tour this region as visitors. Traveling this spectacular coastline you pass through a series of bright and welcoming coastal towns, maybe glance a sighting of some of Australia’s most fancied native fauna, see beautiful forests and a wonderful landscape carved by the ocean and time.

Mornington Peninsula

As a prominent Victorian wine region, the Mornington Peninsula is coastal and compact. It’s also comfortably close to Melbourne. The Peninsula hosts much to do, is sometimes known as the ‘Golf Coast’ for the many great golfing opportunities but is mostly known as Melbourne’s ‘Summer Holiday Playground’.

The Grampians Ranges (Gariwerd)

Located in Victoria’ west, the Grampians Ranges are a favourite for locals for a variety of ‘outdoor’ experiences. The region holds signifcant historic sites too.
